Nasal and Sinus Irrigation – Get the Willies Just Thinking About It.

Saw a video a while back about using a nasal irrigation system to flush your sinuses. Made my skin crawl but all sorts of people swear by it. Got a friend who uses a neti pot almost everyday and he is the first one to tell you how great it is. Cleans him right up.

It even talks about how it can help people who snore and restore taste. While it’s not something I would do it may help you.

 

What Good Is A Vacuum Cleaner If You Don’t Use It

When was the last time you looked at vacuum cleaners? I was in Lowes the other day and noticed they carry a bunch of different vacuums. Some uprights, a couple of canister styles and a few that even steam.

Most had HEPA or HEPA type filters ( I always thought it was either HEPA or not). The Dyson vacuums and the green and white one had the bagless system. The question is which one is the best one.

I’m not sure. We have an old Miele and it works great. Sucks up the dirt and keeps it in the vacuum. To me that is what a vacuum is meant for. Here is an article that does not promote a specific brand. It promotes a very specific idea. Enjoy. (the link will take you from this site)

Bed Bugs and Insecticides Don’t Mix

Here is another really good post from the people at the Allergy Store. Turns out that people have gotten sick and even died trying to get rid of bed bugs. When will people learn not to use pesticides and insecticides if they are not sure how they work.

What a lot of people don’t know is that the same mattress covers that have been used for years to stop dust mites also stop bed bugs. The good thing about covers is they are easy to use and effective. Kill to bugs with one cover.

Ever Heard of Mice Mites?

I know a good bit about dust mites. They cause people all sorts of problems but are fairly easy to deal with. As most know a good mattress cover and a couple of other allergy control products and the problem is mostly under control.

Cheap Dust Mite Covers .. Not Worth It in The Long Run?

Not to long ago I was in a big box store looking at some dust mite covers. Have to say the selection was poor, quality was suspect and the prices high. Most of the times super cheap prices equal poor quality.
