Allergy Beddding Covers – So Many Choices

Now days we hear a lot about dust mites, bed bugs and toxic chemicals in our bed. Starting to think it may be better just to sleep on the floor.

With all the information out there about allergy bedding and covers it’s hard to decide which is better. My personal opioin is to go with one that is membrane free. By that I mean does not have that plastic coating on the inside. Here is an article that talks about the various types of allergy bed covers.

“Covers will also come in a range of micron sizes. This is important to know because the micron size helps determine how much allergen is actually being stopping from getting through the protective covering. If you do not know what you need, ask the professionals. Your doctor is a good source of information and probably used to being asked the question if he has recommended to his other patients to use bed covers. The store personnel should also be able to help you. If they cannot then leave and go to another store that can.”

You can find some basic information about the covers. Bottom line is well made allergy bedding covers will last you for years.

Ever Heard of Mice Mites?

I know a good bit about dust mites. They cause people all sorts of problems but are fairly easy to deal with. As most know a good mattress cover and a couple of other allergy control products and the problem is mostly under control.

Just read this post from Let’s Talk Allergies. Until now I had no idea there was such a thing as Mice Mites. Take a minute and read it.  http://allergy.allergystore.com/2011/08/26/demite-for-mice-mites.aspx

The Question Answered At Last: Do Dust Mite Sprays Work

The people suffering from allergy problems and looking for successful cures often ask others: do dust mite sprays work? In most cases Yes.

You see these tiny creatures feed off the dead skin of people like you and me. Dust mites prefer finding pillows and mattresses for their long lasting dwelling because that is where a lot of dead skin can be found. The most harmful thing about these insects lies in their feces which is the main causes behind triggering the unwanted allergies. These sprays are very effective when used in combination with other allergy control products like dust mite coverings and laundry additives.

So many people do not recognize that their health problems are being caused by dust mites. They wake up in the morning with a suffy nose or feel like they slept on rocks.  Then they spend a lot of money, time, and energy at doctor office visits and drug stores.

The majority of doctors agree that the best way to cure any problem or illness is by preventing it ahead of time. Therefore, they will recommend taking prevention measures with dust mites such as keeping furniture, carpets, bedding and clothing clean.

One of the products used for prevention are dust mite sprays. They actully work for pet dander, mold and pollen as well. Allersearch Labs makes two different but effective sprays. The ADS spray is a tannic acid based spray and the ADMS spray is plant based.

Some people wanting to see faster results will use insecticides thinking they will give them better results. No so. People need to be careful about their excessive usage because they are chemicals after all and may cause harm in some ways, whether short term or long term.

Steam cleaning is another option for the mattress and pillows. In most cases it is safe. For clothing, people can use products that are added directly to the laundry in the washing machines. Demite laundry additive and Aller Wash are two effective products.

Even though the answer to the question, are dust mite sprays effective, is yes, one has to be aware they are not the cure all some what you to believe.

Gaining information and more knowledge about the subject is a crucial preparation step in deciding which allergy control products work best for you. dms02
